

James's research is centralized around the chemical modification of carbon fibre's for improved adhesion in various thermoplastic and thermoset resin systems.
His research goals also focus on the generation of surface-bound polymeric films that are capable of interacting with the environment in unique and interesting ways.

James Randall holds a B.S in Chemistry and Mathematical Modelling combined with Honors research on carbon fibre surface chemistry towards enhanced adhesion with epoxy resins. He is currently continuing this research as a PhD candidate - investigating new polymerization chemistries that can improve the adhesion of thermoset and thermoplastic resins.
