Nick's studies focus on improving antibacterial behaviours of metal alloys used in medical applications by incorporating a silk based drug delivery system to the metallic structures. This area branches from the materials science work commonly done in our group and hopes to expand its reach, opening up opportunities in medical applications.

Nick holds a B.S in Biomedical Science majoring in Infection and Immunity and Honours in Science (Biology) with research focusing on improving silk fibroin membrane durability for applications in eardrum repair.
